Rotherham With Me In Mind (Mental Health Support Team) were fortunate to be one of the national 'trailblazer' sites for developing mental health support in schools back in 2019. This is an exciting time for us as we continue to grow and develop, the Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner posts are part of our Wave 14 expansion. We are a large team with approx. 40 staff and with the wave 14 expansion we will have coverage of approx. 85% of educational settings in Rotherham.
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 x band 6 to join our Rotherham team as Senior Education Mental Health Practitioners. For these posts, we are looking for someone who:

Interviews for this role will be on the 6th January at Kimberworth Place. There will be both a service and young person interview panel
If you will need to attend the supervision course at university for this post, the deadline for completing the application, post successful interview, will be the 12th January 2026.
Hold either an Education Mental Health or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner qualification (either a Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate) or an equivalent level of professional qualification
Be registered with a regulating body and maintain registration with such body*
Provide case management and clinical supervision to EMHPs and Trainee EMHPs under the direction of the Senior Clinicians and Clinical Lead
Manage a caseload and the provision of Mental Health Care services to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in education settings
Provide assessment and formulation of mental health difficulties in children and young people
Offer evidence-based practice in guided self-help, CBT, child and adolescent mental health practice and Whole School Approaches to mental health
Lead on triage routes for our low intensity referrals.
