Job summary

Mattinson Partnership is seeking a Senior Ecology Consultant to support projects across London, Bristol and Midlands offices. You will produce ecology reports, undertake surveys and mentor junior team members, while liaising with clients and stakeholders as a professional contact.

The role involves BNG mapping using QGIS and applying the Biodiversity Metric, with opportunity to work across sectors including energy, carbon, property and EIAs.

Qualifications

• Experience producing reports and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments.
• Hold at least one protected species license and be familiar with the license application process.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review reports and assessments including PEAs, BNG, BREEAM ecology reports and protected species reports.
• Carry out and assist with surveys.
• Mentor/support junior members of the ecology team.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, including meetings as a professional contact.

Our client is an award-winning environmental consultancy who, due to continued success, they are looking to expand their ecology teams across the UK.

As the Senior Ecology Consultant, you’ll be supporting on these projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service whilst also protecting biodiversity in the area. Our client works across several sectors, including energy, carbon, property, sustainability and environmental impact assessments.

This opportunity is open to multiple applicants, and the client is looking to bring in experienced, Senior Ecology Consultants at their London, Bristol & Midlands offices

Responsibility:

As the Senior Ecology Consultant your responsibilities will include:

• Produce and review a variety of reports and assessments including PEAs, BNG, BREEAM ecology credit reports and protected species reports.
• Carry out and assist with surveys.
• Mentor/support junior members of the ecology team.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, including attending meetings and acting as a professional point of contact.
• BNG mapping using QGIS software and calculations using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Senior Ecology Consultant role, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
