Senior Ecologist - Birmingham (Hybrid, with remote working options available)

I am currently recruiting for a large, multi-disciplinary consultancy based in the Midlands, who are on the lookout for a Principal Ecologist to come and join the team.
My client is happy to consider an experienced Consultant Ecologist, who is looking to make the next step up or, a current Senior Ecologist who is looking for a new challenge.
This role is full-time and permanent and offers both hybrid and remote working options.

Requirements
  • A relevant BSc or MSc in Ecology or other related discipline
  • Membership to CIEEM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Indepth knowledge of UK protected species
  • Ideally one protected species license (Bat or GCN)
  • Experienced in BNG and habitat management.
What’s expected
  • Providing technical advice, planning and undertaking ecology surveys including extended Phase 1 habitat/UKHab surveys and protected species surveys.
  • Preparing tenders for a range of projects
  • Client liaison and project management.
  • Mentoring and training junior staff members.
  • Report reviewing
