Senior Ecologist
£35,000 - £45,000

Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a multidisciplinary consultancy, providing ecological, arboricultural, and landscape services to a variety of high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors in the UK.

Our client is looking for a passionate Senior Ecologist to join the Ecology team.

The successful candidate will manage and deliver a variety of projects and protected species surveys, from project inception through to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver a variety of projects and protected species surveys, from project inception through to completion.
Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant degree in ecology and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
  • Experience in a similar role with the ability to manage multifaceted projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of ecology-related legislation and policy and its practical application in a UK context.
  • Broad knowledge of ecological survey/assessment methods, including habitat survey and classification skills across environments.
  • Strong species identification skills across a range of taxonomic groups.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and training to less experienced colleagues or non-specialist staff.
  • Excellent communication, self-motivation, and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively.
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
