Job summary

First Recruitment Group is recruiting for multiple Senior EC&I Engineers to deliver CE&I engineering solutions in Warrington on a contract basis. You will provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams, develop safe and compliant engineering designs, and ensure delivery to quality, cost and schedule targets.

Responsibilities include producing design packages, site surveys and design verification, with mentoring of junior engineers and liaison across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant CE&I delivery experience within a regulated environment.
• Experience delivering CE&I design packages from concept through to implementation.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, LV services, instrumentation and control systems.

Deliver Innovative EC&I Solutions on Complex Engineering Projects

Our Client has a requirement for multiple Senior EC&I Engineers, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington.

Role Purpose

• Deliver CE&I engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support the development of safe, compliant and cost-effective engineering designs.
• Ensure delivery of engineering work to agreed quality, cost and schedule requirements.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Produce CE&I design packages, specifications, calculations and technical documentation.
• Translate user requirements into fully engineered design solutions.
• Conduct site surveys, plant walkdowns and design verification activities.
• Support project planning, estimating, scheduling and progress reporting.
• Manage technical risks, issues and opportunities.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, engineering disciplines and project teams.
• Ensure deliverables comply with engineering governance, checking and approval processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support design delivery activities.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• Significant experience in CE&I project delivery within a highly regulated environment.
• Experience delivering CE&I design packages from concept through to implementation.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, LV services, process instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with panel layouts, cable routing, cable calculations and space management.
• Understanding of functional safety systems and safety-related design standards.
• Experience with instrumentation selection, specifications and control systems design.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Minimum: ONC/HNC or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Preferred: Degree (BEng/MEng) in a relevant engineering discipline.

Desirable

• IEng or CEng status.
• Experience leading engineering design teams.
• Machinery Safety and UKCA/CE compliance experience.
• Functional Safety qualifications or professional registration.
