Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced EC&I engineer to contribute to electrical, control and instrumentation design for safety-critical projects across nuclear, defence, rail and aerospace sectors.

You will deliver cost-effective engineering solutions, engage with clients to understand needs, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of PLC, DCS and SCADA systems with strong safety oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience designing EC&I systems for safety-critical contexts.
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.
• Chartered engineer status or on-track with professional body.
• Security clearance potential and UK residency considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost-effective engineering design and customer service.
• Engage with clients to understand technical needs and build relationships.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality works on time, budget, and quality.
• Design and implement PLC, DCS and SCADA based systems.
• Specify instrumentation systems and perform verification.
• Assist with proposals and tenders.
