Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer

Location: Warrington (with hybrid and flexible working options)
Hours: 37 per week

Are you an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer looking to work on some of the UK’s most significant nuclear projects? Be part of a leading UK defence and infrastructure organisation, and be part of a team committed to building a safer and more sustainable world.

As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you’ll contribute directly to projects that support the decommissioning of redundant facilities, the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, and the future of low‑carbon energy generation. Your role will be instrumental in delivering engineering excellence, upholding safety, and ensuring technical integrity across the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and manage delivery of EC&I engineering and technical activities across complex nuclear projects
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to drive quality, innovation, and operational efficiency
  • Engage with clients and the supply chain, ensuring design clarity and compliance with procurement specifications
  • Apply appropriate procedures, codes, and standards to all engineering work
  • Support safety assessments and contribute to process improvements within the design lifecycle
  • Provide engineering input and decision-making support to the Project Manager
  • Review, produce, and verify technical deliverables such as calculations, reports, and specifications
What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Sound technical knowledge and experience in EC&I design and analysis within a highly regulated environment
Qualifications
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status is advantageous
