Job summary

The Highland Council is seeking a Senior Early Years Practitioner for Hilton Primary School in Inverness. This permanent role offers 35 hours per week, with a salary of £27,779 - £31,063 per annum.

You will lead the nursery team to deliver high-quality early learning and childcare, and actively involve parents in their children’s learning journey. PVG checks apply and eligibility criteria must be met.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Childcare and Education (e.g., HNC/NNEB/SVQ 3).
• Three years post-qualifying experience with young children, preferably in an ELC setting.
• First Aid & Food Handling qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a quality early learning and childcare experience.
• Provide a leadership role within the setting for other early years staff.
• Engage parents in their children's learning journey.
