Job summary

Michael Page (UK) is recruiting a Senior Associate in its disputes practice to lead high-value High Court litigation, civil fraud and asset recovery matters. You will work directly with partners, assume significant responsibility for strategy, client management and case execution.

The role offers exposure to complex, cross-border disputes, urgent applications and large-scale disclosure, with opportunities to supervise junior lawyers and progress within a specialist team.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years' PQE in civil/high court disputes.
• Strong High Court commercial litigation experience.
• Experience obtaining and managing injunctive relief and interim remedies.
• Ability to run matters independently.

Responsibilities

• Managing complex High Court litigation with partner support.
• Developing and executing litigation strategies from pre-action through to trial.
• Handling matters involving commercial litigation, civil fraud, asset recovery, insolvency, banking disputes, shareholder disputes and professional negligence claims.
• Leading urgent applications, including freezing injunctions, search orders and other interim remedies.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, correspondence and strategic advice.
• Managing large-scale disclosure exercises and documentary evidence.
• Working closely with counsel, experts, forensic accountants and investigators.
• Acting as the day-to-day contact for clients and maintaining strong relationships.

• Managing complex High Court litigation with partner support where appropriate.
• Developing and executing litigation strategies from pre-action through to trial and enforcement.
• Handling matters involving commercial litigation, civil fraud, asset recovery, insolvency, banking disputes, shareholder disputes and professional negligence claims.
• Leading urgent applications, including freezing injunctions, search orders and other interim remedies.

The Successful Applicant

• 6-10 years' PQE, although exceptional candidates outside this range will be considered.
• Strong High Court commercial litigation experience.
• Experience in:
• Commercial Litigation.
• Civil Fraud & Asset Recovery.
• Insolvency Litigation.
• Extensive knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Experience obtaining and managing injunctive relief and interim remedies.
• The ability to run matters independently.
• Previous supervision or mentoring experience.
