Job summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a capable pharmacist to join our dispensary team. You will greet visitors, prepare medications for patient use with the EPIC system, and dispense inpatient, discharge and controlled drug medications across specialties.

You will receive CD prescriptions and requisitions, hand out medicines to patients and ward staff, and assist in training new staff including dispensary team members, pharmacists, foundation year pharmacists and

Qualifications

• Greet visitors and attend to patients.
• Prepare medications for patient use with EPIC.
• Dispense inpatient, discharge and CD medications using EPIC.
• Receive CD prescriptions and requisitions for onward dispensing.
• Hand out medicines to patients and ward staff following correct processes.
• Assist in meeting deadlines.
• Train new dispensary staff, pharmacists, foundation year pharmacists and pre-registration student technicians.
• Support aseptic team training.
