About the team

FIS’ Risk Business provides mission-critical software and services to institutions across many industry sectors across the globe. Within the Capital Markets division, we have launched a Climate Risk solution to help companies manage, understand and mitigate climate risks, as well as meet the upcoming disclosures requirements. You will be a part of a large Risk team with team members located across the globe, focus on delivering leading solutions delivered as SaaS and supporting the latest risk techniques.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Director within the Risk Solutions Management and Strategy team you will be responsible for driving business strategy and meeting customer and industry needs. You will use your excellent client relationship management skills in order to understand our client’s needs, establish credibility and build positive professional relationships. As Climate Risk is a relatively new market which is dynamic you will be responsible for Go To Market activities, presenting at conferences on climate risk, working with our industry partners, early adopters, customers and the overall strategy.

The ideal candidate should have a detailed understanding of climate risk, weather perils, sustainability and the needs of corporates managing the climate risks and also reporting under the upcoming climate disclosure requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading strategic discussions with our clients globally to ensure the solution is meeting their needs, in terms of new regulation, managing and mitigating their risks and optimization of their costs
  • Setting out the strategy for the solution and working with product development to deliver to customer needs
  • Building strong internal relationships across the organization and working with peers in other countries to drive growth and successful take up of the solution with customers
  • Working closely with our third party partners at a regional level and developing relationships, as well as aligning with internal teams such as sales, customer experience and service delivery on roadmap, strategy and education on the solution, regulatory environment and capabilities
  • Feeding into the wider product needs and assisting other solution leaders with developing roadmaps and strategy across the Risk Management suite
  • Responsible from a solutions perspective for Go to Market activities to support sales and revenue goals
  • This is an international role which reflects our existing global footprint of clients and demand for climate solutions
  • There is an expectation of travel to meet our customers, partners and presenting at conferences on climate risk
What you bring
  • Strong knowledge of climate risk. This can be practical experience in working in at an existing industry or vendor role or from advanced training and education in this topic
  • Strong passion in the area of climate and sustainability and commitment to client excellence
  • Willingness to learn and keep up to date on latest techniques in climate risk modelling and management
  • Product management and Go To Market experience
  • Experience in presenting to senior stakeholders and at industry events
  • Knowledge of latest technology and trends that are relevant to leading risk systems
  • Experience in leading projects, engagements, people and building and growing global partnerships
  • Excellent communications skills and able to liaise with all levels of seniority up to and including board level
  • Degree background, preferably with additional climate risk or advanced risk training or qualifications and a strong background risk management
  • Experience working with large global teams
