Job summary

Prime is seeking a Director, Scientific Services to provide senior scientific and strategic leadership across the business unit, driving excellence in delivery and growth. You will lead and develop high‑performing scientific teams to deliver compliant, client‑facing medical communications and strengthen long‑term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Ten years or more of senior healthcare agency experience.
• Science degree, ideally higher degree (Masters, PhD, or MD).
• Proven track record leading scientific/editorial teams.
• Extensive medical writing and leadership across projects.
• Experience shaping strategic client directions.
• Financial forecasting and resource planning experience.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Experience developing and attending new business pitches.
• Building senior client relationships and growth opportunities.
• Quality, compliance, SOP oversight.
• Collaboration with Client Services for integrated strategies.
• Process improvement and audit frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to clients.
• Strong organisation and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Awareness of AI and omnichannel innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for scientific services.
• Lead and develop scientific teams to deliver compliant medical communications.
• Align scientific excellence with business strategy and client objectives.
• Act as strategic advisor to clients, shaping communication plans.
• Ensure quality, compliance, and SOP processes with audits and debriefs.
