We are looking for a talented Senior Director of Category and Brand Growth, to redefine how retailers and CPGs collaborate to drive long‑term growth for categories and brands. You’ll leverage Tesco’s scale, a 24 million customer data set, and dunnhumby’s advanced data science and AI to create compelling propositions that deliver category and brand growth while unlocking new revenue streams. Your work will influence UK market strategies and global partnerships with the world’s biggest brands.

Key accountabilities for this role
  • Deliver revenue growth for dunnhumby via new CPG propositions that deliver mutual long term growth for categories and brands
  • Create strong C‑level relationships at Tesco, CPGs and across the wider grocery industry community orchestrating connections which remove or circumnavigate barriers to accelerate mutual growth
  • Lead future thinking on dunnhumby’s CPG propositions which will elevate supplier brand and trade plans and secure a competitive advantage for Tesco and dunnhumby in the market.
  • Influence internal stakeholders to build and deliver compelling propositions and partnerships which will extend dh reach, influence commercial outcomes with brands, also leveraging dh international scale and Tesco capability
  • Lead, inspire and evolve a transformative team talent and culture underpinning the ambitious growth agenda
  • Build and nurture C‑Suite relationships across UK CPGs to position dunnhumby as the first‑choice growth partner.
  • Develop compelling propositions that extend dunnhumby’s reach and influence within CPGs, leveraging Tesco’s scale and capabilities
  • Partner with Tesco and CPGs to shape future facing growth systems spanning Science, Tech, processes, data and org design
  • Deliver incremental sales and profit for Tesco, dunnhumby and CPGs through joint brand and category growth strategies
  • Lead cross functional teams to orchestrate maximum impact across internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and align UK organisational design with strategic goals, identifying talents needs and opportunities
  • Work in collaboration with the Data Science team to create new and improved science to power the aligned vision for better data led decision making in Tesco and CPGs

  • A leader of high performing sales and account management teams
  • Expertise in best practice category planning, CPG brand strategy and data driven decision making
  • Has built strong advisor relationships at C‑level with both commercial and technical leaders and is seen as compelling at this level
  • Proven ability to deliver step‑change sales growth with operational excellence maximising profit return
  • Proven ability to influence retailer decision making and drive joint value creation
  • Expertise in building and leading complex cross‑functional teams, including clients and third parties
  • A history of leading and delivering large scale change/transformation programmes and innovative propositions
