Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of Infrastructure Operations Engineering for EMEA. Infra Ops Engineering focuses on ensuring that the infrastructure and systems within our Data Centers are robust, reliable, and capable of meeting the demands of continuous operation with minimal downtime. They have a multi-disciplinary team that consists of Electrical, Mechanical, Controls and permitting subject matter experts that are involved from the concept design through to the handover of the project and providing ongoing support for teams in the field for the full lifecycle of the building.

Essential Job Functions

• Oversee the management and administration of Infrastructure Operations teams supporting DC design, delivery and operations
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across various disciplines. Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture within the engineering
• Partner closely with Field Operations to ensure maximum uptime and compliance
• Provide strategic direction for ops engineering activities, including safety, testing and validation. Align engineering initiatives with VDCs overall business objectives.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., Design, Sales, Operations) to ensure engineering initiatives support customer needs and business priorities.
• Develop and implement engineering processes, tools, and metrics to ensure high efficiency, quality, and scalability of engineering operations.
• Ability to set a strategic vision for technology and engineering, balancing long-term goals with immediate business needs.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to address complex engineering challenges and deliver innovative solutions under pressure.
• Passionate about working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.
• Drive the development and implementation of improved standards for safety, maintenance and scaling efforts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of MEP engineering experience, including at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Director of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or similar).
• Strong background in systems engineering, power distribution and advanced cooling systems (preferably in data centres or related industries).
• Proven experience building, leading, and scaling engineering teams in fast-growing organizations. Strong mentorship abilities with a focus on team development and career growth.
• Strong background in industrial Safety, certifications, compliance frameworks (preferably in Data Centre or related industry)
• Track record of excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic problem solver with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a passion for operational excellence.
• Demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering and project management.
• Consistent track record of excellent internal and external customer service.
• Travel required is expected to be up to 25% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
