Boston Consulting Group in London and Boston seeks a Program Director/Senior Director to shape and manage MDP compensation and equity programs within PSG. You will lead a global program, partnering with CFOs and the Executive Committee to ensure precise, compliant implementation.

You will coordinate with tax, treasury and legal teams across regions, translating complex rules into practical guidance for senior leaders, while ensuring timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Working closely with BCG’s CFO and global Executive Committee, PSG is responsible for designing, developing, and executing world‑class evaluation, development, compensation and equity programs for our global Managing Directors and Partners (MDPs). You will be a highly visible, integral and trusted advisor in BCG’s global finance function, working within a fast‑paced environment where precision, innovation and transparent communication are key. After an initial apprenticeship period, you will become the primary contact for MDPs and BCG leadership in the North America region for MDP compensation and equity frameworks.

You are a technically focused, excellent communicator who spends much of your time interacting directly with senior leaders on highly complex, sensitive and personal topics. You manage difficult issues with empathy, have strong stakeholder perspective analysis, and can develop recommendations and collaborate with a highly global team. Leadership skills are essential to build trust, influence change, and coordinate operational aspects efficiently while keeping a big‑picture view.

Basic Job Responsibilities
MDP Compensation and Equity Country Program Management and Development
  • Support individual MDPs in understanding their local compensation and equity value and its relation to performance.
  • Design and maintain country compensation and equity programs by teaming with functional experts to understand local and U.S. tax law, partnership concepts, labor laws, and applying BCG global principles.
  • Analyze the overall BCG economic model to assess impacts on MDP compensation and equity across all countries.
  • Develop clear, concise communications for MDPs and leadership teams addressing issues, options, and resolutions in a proactive and commercial manner.
  • Support MDPs with equity purchases and sales, explaining cash and tax implications.
  • Oversee support for MDP transfers, departing MDPs, and lateral hires.
  • Partner with external advisors and local teams on compliance.
  • Work with controllers and global finance functions (accounting, tax, treasury) to ensure plans are implemented and executed properly.
  • Conduct regular reviews of local MDP programs, understand risk tolerance, and leverage BCG’s tax and legal functions.
  • Jointly identify areas for improvement and implement changes where required.
  • Availability to work in East Coast time zone pattern for most working days.
What You’ll Bring
  • Professional legal, tax or accounting qualification desirable.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Significant experience working with senior teams (e.g., MDPs, Managing Directors, CEOs) in a dynamic, project‑based environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration experience with evidence of building long‑term networks across multinational environments.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. individual and partnership taxation or employment law.
Who You’ll Work With

The Program Director/Senior Director will collaborate closely with global MDPs, PSG leaders, fellow Program Directors, and colleagues in PSG Operations and Evaluation teams, as well as functional experts within Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams.

In the US, we have a compensation transparency approach. Total compensation includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market‑leading benefits package.

Base salary range in Boston: $195,000–$227,500. Base salaries depend on experience and skill set. Bonus up to 45% and a generous retirement contribution starting at 10%. Senior Directors are eligible for a Firm Performance Bonus.
