Qualifications

• Ph.D. in statistics or related discipline with 10+ years of experience (or MS in statistics or related discipline with 15+ years) in the biotech/pharma industry, including interaction with FDA and EMEA, and proven people management (6+ years).
• Active research interests in areas related to clinical trials.
• Ability to work in a changing, busy environment and adapt procedures to problems.
• Independent, self-directed work ethic with creativity and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership, project management, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Experience leading major process and technology initiatives with cross-functional impact.
• Broad knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and techniques.
• Ability to effectively represent Biostatistics and Data Management with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Determining Department goals and resource allocation with the Department Executive Director.
• Ensure project teams have high quality statistical support for clinical development plans, study design, and operations.
• Work with senior management to ensure statistical representation in key project decisions and regulatory meetings.
• Oversee process for statistical reporting and review documents like SAPs, analyses, CSR, and integrated summaries.
• Plan and track project activities, timelines, and resource use; justify resource needs and optimize utilization.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring for staff; recruit, develop, and retain high quality staff.
• Maintain awareness of industry standards; harmonize policies with SOPs and regulatory guidance.
