Job summary

TEKEVER in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead source-to-contract activity for direct spend. This role offers ownership of an important spend area, and the chance to shape commercially intelligent strategies and build strategic supplier partnerships that drive value.

You will review current procurement practices, bring forward ideas, and help define the future procurement and supply chain strategy.

Qualifications

Experience in direct procurement categories such as raw materials, components or capital equipment.
Experience developing and executing category or sourcing strategies and running competitive tenders.
Experience leading commercial negotiations and contracts for complex/high-value projects.

Responsibilities

Challenge, clarify and improve internal specifications to enable sourcing.
Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers for value, service and risk balance.
Draft and finalise supplier contracts, framework agreements and SLAs.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct spend to ensure best total cost of ownership.
Manage and develop procurement team members with coaching and performance management.
Own supplier relationships and resolve supply or delivery issues.
Build relationships with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business needs.
Champion continuous improvement in cost, quality and delivery performance.
