At Virgin Atlantic, we believe everyone has the potential to take on the world. Our ambition is to be the most loved travel company, and as we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we’re challenging conventions with bold thinking, innovation and purpose. If you’re ready to shape the future of digital travel experiences, we’d love to hear from you. You will define and lead the application of GenAI across the web ecosystem, identifying and delivering use cases that improve customer experience, accelerate delivery and unlock commercial value. You will ensure GenAI is embedded thoughtfully, ethically and at scale within our digital platform strategy.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for transforming the performance and experience of Virgin Atlantic’s digital web ecosystem — from inspiration through to booking — across all digital channels.

You will define and lead the end-to-end web strategy, ensuring our website delivers seamless, inspiring and commercially successful journeys that reflect our premium brand. With a deep understanding of customer needs and commercial performance, you will create a high-impact roadmap that brings together flights, holidays, loyalty and content into one cohesive experience.

You will be accountable for delivering measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, conversion and business value. Leading a multidisciplinary team of internal and external experts across product, design, engineering, marketing and analytics, you will ensure the platform consistently exceeds customer expectations. You will continuously evaluate and apply the latest GenAI developments, ensuring we stay at the forefront of innovation.

This role has direct leadership responsibility for Digital Product Managers / Owners and the Design team. You will set the vision for product and design excellence, accessibility, usability and consistency across platforms, embedding design throughout the product development lifecycle to drive tangible business outcomes.

As a senior digital leader, you will represent Digital Product at senior forums, influencing decision-making at SLT and Executive level, while building a high-performing, inclusive and future-focused team.

  • Own the product vision and strategic roadmap for the web experience, from inspiration to booking
  • Define clear KPIs for conversion, engagement and end-to-end journey performance
  • Develop compelling, data-driven business cases to support investment decisions
  • Define a clear GenAI roadmap for the web platform, aligned to customer needs, commercial priorities and technology strategy
  • Identify high-impact GenAI use cases across inspiration, booking and post-booking journeys (e.g. personalisation, content, search, assistance and optimisation)
  • Establish success metrics for GenAI initiatives, tracking impact on conversion, engagement, efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Embed GenAI tools and capabilities into product and design ways of working to accelerate discovery, experimentation and delivery
  • Stay ahead of GenAI and digital experience trends, translating emerging capability into pragmatic, test-and-learn delivery
  • Align experience outcomes with commercial performance and brand standards
  • Champion digital-first thinking across the organisation
  • Use analytics, experimentation and A/B testing to optimise journeys and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain clear visibility of performance and roadmap progress at SLT level
  • Translate strategy into clear, prioritised roadmaps, OKRs and quarterly plans
  • Lead prioritisation and planning across squads, ensuring high-impact delivery
  • Ensure effective use of agile ways of working
  • Build strong partnerships with engineering, marketing, commercial, loyalty, data and content teams
  • Set and evolve the design vision across all digital platforms
  • Lead and grow the Design team, embedding design systems, accessibility and usability standards
  • Govern UX, UI and visual consistency across squads
  • Champion a culture of design excellence and user-centred thinking
  • Lead, coach and inspire multidisciplinary teams across product and design
  • Set clear goals and stretch ambitions for product excellence
  • Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous learning
  • Represent Digital Product in strategic, investment and governance forums
  • Stay ahead of digital, UX and technology trends, bringing innovation through personalisation, GenAI and platform evolution
  • Represent Virgin Atlantic externally within digital and product leadership communities
  • Model leadership behaviours aligned to Virgin Atlantic’s values
  • Significant experience owning digital product strategy, delivery and optimisation
  • Proven track record delivering high-performing web platforms and ecommerce journeys
  • Strong background in UX, UI and product design leadership
  • Deep experience using customer data, analytics and experimentation to drive outcomes
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing digital investment and budgets
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in agile environments
  • Confident, inspiring leader with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at Executive and Board level
