Job description

We are looking for an experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team of 30 clinical staff and an excellent support team providing the Dietetics Service to Wolverhampton and Cannock.

This vacancy is in our community team, and the successful candidate will work across Wolverhampton and Cannock Chase Hospital, predominantly in the field of nutrition support.

We are a friendly, supportive and dynamic team . We take students on placement from BCU and Coventry and value CPD, development and excellence in practice.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatients and community settings to deliver a high quality dietetics service for patients requiring nutrition support.

Job responsibilities

Assess diagnose and treat nutrition related problems in a variety of settings (eg rehab hospitals, patient homes, care homes, outpatients).

Devise and monitor enteral feeding regimens.

Work with outpatients & care homes promoting Food First as nutritional management.

Work closely with the wider MDT to optimise patient care and outcome.

Provide training to community colleagues on nutrition support and enteral feeding.

Contribute to the training & development of students on clinical placement, apprentice dietitians and junior colleagues.

Undertake audit and projects to promote service quality and development.
