Job summary

Candour is expanding its cyber security team in Manchester and seeks a remote-ready Digital Forensics & Incident Responder. You will lead investigations, validate evidence, and collaborate with engineers to enhance automated capabilities. You will also explain findings to customers and influence product strategy.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DFIR, strong analysis skills, and a proven track record. Magnet Axiom experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years hands-on experience in digital forensics and incident response.
• Experience investigating cyber-attacks and analysing forensic evidence.
• Ability to critically assess findings and identify gaps in forensic analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers and technical teams.
• Track record of career progression and demonstrable technical expertise.
• Experience with forensic platforms such as Magnet Axiom is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate security incidents using a specialist investigation platform, validating findings and identifying evidence.
• Work closely with engineering teams to improve the accuracy and capabilities of automated investigations.
• Support customers by explaining investigative findings, answering technical questions, and advising on product capabilities and feature requests.
• Act as the in-house DFIR subject matter expert, helping shape product development and technical strategy.
