Job summary

Leonardo seeks a Principal Software Engineer (DevSecOps) to accelerate secure software delivery across defence and security programmes. You will shape enterprise DevSecOps, enabling teams to deploy features rapidly, reliably and securely.

You will build a collaborative DevSecOps culture, mentor teams, and drive automation across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. A degree in a related field is required, with strong security-focused engineering experience.

Qualifications

Experience delivering software in complex engineering environments.
Hands-on with CI/CD practices and tooling.
Knowledge of cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments and security.
Background in software/platform engineering or IT operations.

Responsibilities

Contribute to delivery and evolution of Leonardo's DevSecOps platform.
Mentor teams adopting DevSecOps practices, tools and ways of working.
Plan and implement DevSecOps across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.
Design, deploy and maintain development, test and operational environments.
Drive automation across software delivery and infrastructure provisioning.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Apply change, configuration and release management practices.
Support deployed services with performance, security and availability.
Collaborate with engineers, platform teams and stakeholders to improve delivery.
Champion secure-by-design principles across the lifecycle.
