Job summary

Experis is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead OpenShift IaC development and Azure platform automation within a large enterprise environment. You will define standards, govern DevOps practices, and drive platform reliability across multi-region deployments.

The role requires strong Azure, Kubernetes, and OpenShift expertise, plus experience building enterprise CI/CD pipelines and secure, observable infrastructures. Derby-based with hybrid onsite work.

Qualifications

• Strong experience administering Microsoft Azure environments.
• Extensive experience with Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and/or OpenShift Container Platform.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development.
• Strong Kubernetes and OpenShift troubleshooting skills.

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support a major enterprise transformation programme focused on infrastructure modernisation, cloud automation, and platform engineering within a complex engineering and manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing, automating, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud and container platforms, driving best practices across infrastructure, deployment automation, security, and operational excellence. The role is based in Derby with a hybrid working arrangement of 2 days per week onsite, on a contract running from October 2026 to May 2027. BPSS is required to start, and SC Clearance can be processed concurrently during onboarding. The rate is competitive market rates. We use Microsoft Azure, Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), OpenShift Container Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, CI/CD tooling, monitoring and logging solutions, IaC, and DevSecOps tooling.
