Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with GitLab and deployment automation.
• Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting cloud-native applications and services.
• Familiarity with big data technologies including Spark and distributed data platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Exposure to containerisation technologies and orchestration platforms.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and related automation technologies.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to support scalable Azure deployments.
• Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams on end-to-end infrastructure and platform design.
• Manage and optimize Azure cloud services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Support deployment and operation of large-scale data platforms and processing environments.
• Integrate and support data processing technologies including Spark and modern analytics platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and automation issues.
• Promote DevOps best practices across development and engineering teams.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards.
