Automation and CI/CD Pipelines:
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for automating data migration processes, deployments, and testing.
  • Ensure seamless integration of automation workflows with existing development and testing frameworks.
  • Implement Zero Access automation to enhance security and compliance.

Security and Compliance:
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data during migration.
  • Work closely with the security team to ensure compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that AWS services such as S3, RDS (Oracle), and AWS Glue are configured securely and efficiently.
  • Experience in implementing AWS Secrets, Parameter Stores, KMS, and client side encryption.
  • Ensure least privilege for running a service in production without root/admin access.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to align the DevOps framework with the overall project architecture.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps team members.
  • Support the delivery manager and product manager in detailed low-level planning activities, including sprint planning and estimation.
  • Establish detailed runbooks for supporting live applications and defining routes to live.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts in a jargon-free manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with customers, ensuring a positive and professional engagement throughout the project life cycle.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, low-level design artefacts, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
  • Report project progress and technical issues to the DevOps Manager.
  • Release planning and contribution to DevOps roadmap
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.
  • Experience with AWS services including S3, RDS (Oracle), AWS Glue, AWS IAM, and AWS Fargate.
  • Strong Scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation.
  • Experience implementing Zero Access automation and CI/CD automation.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a simple and understandable manner for non-technical audiences.
