Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Cambridge (Hybrid, 2 days on site a week)

Contract: Inside IR35

Rate: 500 - 525 per day

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Cambridge on a hybrid working model. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Python, Terraform, and Ansible, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. Experience with NetBox would be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Network Engineers to deploy and manage infrastructure efficiently.
• Leverage Python, Terraform, and Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to ensure a smooth handover to the internal team.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of infrastructure, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and networking issues as they arise.
• Implement and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Utilize NetBox (if applicable) to enhance network visibility and management.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in Python, Terraform, and Ansible within a DevOps environment.
• Strong networking fundamentals to support the Network Engineering team.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud and on‑prem infrastructure automation.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with the ability to start delivering from day one.
• Ability to document processes and conduct knowledge transfer sessions effectively.
• Familiarity with NetBox for network automation and management.
