We are currently supporting a specialist technical consultancy in their search for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing Central Government team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects while shaping modern, secure cloud infrastructure.

Location and working model

Work from home or from one of six UK office hubs (including Bristol, Cheltenham, and London). Bi-weekly travel to London is required to meet with customers.

The role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure
  • Deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters (Docker, Helm)
  • Developing automated tools and processes for deployment, monitoring, testing, and maintenance
  • Creating and maintaining security, compliance, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Optimising systems for high availability, resilience, and cost efficiency
  • Monitoring and improving infrastructure/application performanceTroubleshooting and resolving infrastructure/application issues
  • Mentoring junior DevOps engineers

Eligibility requirement

You must be a British citizen who has lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years, in order to qualify for high-level security clearance.
