Job summary

A leading offshore energy firm in the UK is looking for a Senior Development Associate to join their Development Team. The role involves managing land right acquisition and stakeholder activities for large-scale projects. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience in land acquisition or consenting in infrastructure projects, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Your Role :

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

  • The Senior Development Associate would join the Development Team and support the Head of Land and Consents in delivering all land right acquisition, consents and stakeholder management activities for our development projects. Experience of land acquisition and / or consenting processes on similar large-scale projects in the UK will be important and specific experience of offshore power projects is desirable but is not a requirement. It is expected that you will be responsible for managing the suitably qualified and experienced advisers and consultants needed to deliver these project workstreams.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work independently and deliver project requirements in an accurate, efficient and resourceful manner. Ideally based out of our London office (but with flexible working), the nature of the role will also require occasional travel to UK and EU locations.
  • The role focusses on the completion of the development phase of projects however there is considerable opportunity thereafter to be involved in projects as they moving into the construction phase.

Education, Work Experience & Qualifications :
  • Highly numerate and literate, and have a genuine motivation to develop and grow the TI business.
  • Experience with land rights and / or consenting experience in the infrastructure sector. This experience will likely have been gained in a utility, developer or an advisory / consulting role.
  • Be commercially astute and have excellent analysis and valuation skills and will also be strong communicators.
Skills & Attributes :
  • Relevant Degree or similar qualification
  • 3 years’ experience of land right acquisition and / or consenting of UK infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with onshore and offshore cables is desirable but not essential
  • An astute problem solver
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to work well with project partners and stakeholders
  • Able to negotiate to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to show initiative and find solutions to problems and liaise with the team in overcoming obstacles and achieving project milestones
  • You must have the 'Right to Work' in the UK
