Job summary

Insight Investment in Manchester is seeking a Senior Developer to join the Fusion LDI team. You will contribute to cloud-based solutions for liquidity and portfolio management with a React front-end and C# REST APIs, hosted on Azure.

You will mentor peers, drive architectural decisions, and participate in Agile cadence, CI/CD pipelines, and production readiness. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, system design, and collaboration with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong grounding in OOP and SOLID principles for scalable software design.
• Experience with DDD and test-driven development approaches.
• Knowledge of distributed, service-based architectures and secure SDLC practices.
• Proficient in C#/.NET/ASP.NET and SQL for backend systems.
• Front-end experience with React and NodeJS is beneficial.
• Hands-on with containers (Docker) and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Familiarity with authentication (Identity, OAuth) and Git-based workflows.
• Experience in Agile teams and CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity / GitHub Actions).

Insight Investment is looking for a Senior Developer to join the Fusion LDI team in Manchester. The Fusion LDI Product Team is responsible for building innovative solutions that enhance liquidity and portfolio management across the business including the Front Office. We are committed to delivering modern applications that solve key problems by applying cutting edge methodologies and technology.

The team operate using Agile, using Scrum to deliver a continuous pipeline of features, via CI/CD, through test environments and into production. The applications are built on a React front-end, coupled to C# REST APIs and SQL databases, all hosted entirely in the cloud, using Azure and AKS.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Developer, beyond your day-to-day development work you will:

• Provide technical advice to other developers and take an active role in designing new technical standards.
• Take ownership for driving change and innovation, bring relevant teams together and lead retrospectives.
• Assess and recommend architectural patterns based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Present information concisely to individuals within and outside of the Technology function.
• Mentor the wider team to support the Team lead and help optimise team performance.
• Participate in and, where appropriate, lead meetings with business stakeholders.
• Contribute to defining and maintaining the agreed quality standards of the product

Experience Required

• Fundamentals and approaches: OOP, SOLID principles, DDD, TDD/BDD/ATDD
• Distributed, service-based architectures (messaging, pub/sub, streams, micro-services).
• Secure SDLC practices and toolsets
• Extensive experience in C# / .NET / ASP.NET
• SQL
• Azure fundamentals (including Key Vault, Entra, App Insights etc)
• Front-end development and frameworks (e.g. React, NodeJS)
• Docker / Containerisation
• Azure Kubernetes Service
• Authentication and authorization (Identity, JWT, OAuth, etc.).
• DVCS with Git
• CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity / GitHub Actions / Artifactory)
• Experience working in Agile teams performing iterative development
