Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Detection & Response Engineer to defend one of the UK's largest organisations from cyber threats. You will lead complex investigations, analyse threat intelligence, and continuously enhance detection and response capabilities within our Cyber Defence Centre in a hybrid work model.

You will work with experienced cyber defence professionals to identify, contain and remediate security incidents while mentoring colleagues and contributing to engineering

Qualifications

• Strong experience investigating cyber security incidents in SOC/Cyber Defence environments.
• Experience analysing attacker behaviour and threat intelligence to support detection and response.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills to share knowledge with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex investigations into security alerts, incidents and threats.
• Analyse security events and threat intel to determine responses.
• Undertake threat hunting and forensic investigations.
• Improve detection and response capabilities with automation and tooling.
• Collaborate with team to improve engineering excellence.
• Coach colleagues and share lessons learned.
• Participate in an on-call rota for a few weeks per year.
