ASOS is seeking a Senior Designer to lead our jersey evening dresses range for a worldwide audience. You will translate runway concepts into accessible, premium jersey pieces and guide concepts through sign-off with the design team.

You bring 5+ years in occasion jersey design, strong fabric and fit knowledge, and the ability to drive prints, embellishments, and drape while collaborating across functions to meet online business goals.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience designing formal jersey products.
• Experience across elevated basics to premium finishes with drape and embellishment.
• Translate runway trends into accessible jersey ranges for online fashion.
• Strong understanding of jersey fabrics, drape, and fit.
• Experience with print/embellishment collections and licensing is a plus.
• Collaborate with pattern cutters and cross-functional teams.

• Own the aesthetic from concept to final sign-off with the Leading Senior Designer and Head of Design.
• Infuse jersey expertise into collections: fabric sourcing, wash development, trims and fit.
• Research global trends and runway shows to keep the jersey range ahead of competitors.
• Collaborate with Buyers, Merchandisers, and Garment Technologists to translate concepts into market-ready products.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented Designer with 5+ years of industry experience to work on our jersey evening dresses department. You’ll have spent time working in an occasion / formal jersey based department or brand, understanding the category and the product from elevated entry price point basics with premium finishing to drape, embroidery, embellishment to print & fabric sourcing. Understanding the mix of customer types within the department from elevated essentials, feminine, occasion to true glam. You will support the design direction for our trend collections translating creative design concepts & runway trends into an accessible, high-quality jersey evening dresses range that our fashion-obsessed community will love.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Owning the aesthetic: Supporting the Leading Senior Designer and Head of Design with the design process from initial concept, mood boards, and colour palettes to final product sign-off.
• Elevating our product: Infuse your jersey expertise into our collections, focusing on fabric sourcing, wash development, techniques and trims and superior fit.
• Chasing trends: Constantly research global street style, runway shows, awards eventsand cultural shifts to ensure our formal jersey range is ahead of the competition.
• Collaborating across teams: Work hand-in-hand with our Buyers, Merchandisers, and Garment Technologists to bring your vision to life without compromising on quality or pace.Presenting with impact: Pitch your concepts and ranges to senior stakeholders with confidence, clarity, and passion.

WHO YOU ARE

• An experienced designer: You have a proven track record designing formal jersey product and understand the spectrum of jersey fabrications with 5+ years of industry experience.
• An eye for new and emerging trend: You can spot the latest trends building on formal jersey, from catwalk to social media to high street competitors. You will know how to translate trends from other categories such as woven into jersey.
• Perfect eye for print & embellishment: You have experience of building inspirational print / embroidery collections. Desired if you have had experience within license product development.
• Fabric and fit obsessed: You have an eye for detail and a deep understanding of jersey garment construction & have experience of drape & working with pattern cutters.
• Commercial yet creative: You know how to balance design aesthetic with the commercial reality of what sells online.
• A fast-paced thinker: You thrive in an environment that moves quickly and can easily pivot when new trends emerge.
• A digital native: You are highly proficient in Procreate, Photoshop, and the latest AI Digital Design Tools.
