Job description

About the Role

The role sits within the Marketing Solutions team and centres on the design of commercial partnership proposals and related partnership marketing materials. The designer translates commercial strategies, audience insights, rights packages, data and activation ideas into clear, persuasive visual narratives, working closely with Brand Partnerships, sales, strategy, project management, research, rights-holder and client teams. The position involves leading creative development through the full Marketing Solutions process, from interpreting the brief to delivering final editable and presentation-ready files, while maintaining high design standards across a distributed global team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the design development of commercial partnership proposals, RFPs, sales presentations, category decks, case studies, post-event reports, templates and other partnership marketing materials.
  • Translate complex commercial strategies, audience insights, rights packages, data and activation ideas into clear, persuasive visual narratives with strong hierarchy and editorial quality.
  • Develop creative routes, cover options, visual territories, page layouts and design systems that give each proposal a distinctive point of view while remaining practical to deliver.
  • Work through the full Marketing Solutions process: interpret the brief, support content development, lead creative development, review and refine drafts, and deliver final editable and presentation-ready files.
  • Collaborate with Brand Partnerships, sales, strategy, project management, research, rights-holder and client teams to understand the brief, identify the commercial story and guide the visual direction.
  • Set and maintain high standards for grid, typography, spacing, image selection, colour, lock-ups, logo visibility, data visualisation, motion and overall information density across every deliverable.
  • Protect the clarity and consistency of the deck or campaign while responding constructively to feedback, distinguishing between essential content changes and design decisions that affect hierarchy, flow and legibility.
  • Use PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant tools to create polished, flexible and easy-to-edit outputs, and support motion, video and interactive elements where they strengthen the story.
  • Help evolve team templates, toolkits, workflows and ways of working so that the team can deliver consistent, high-quality work efficiently across regions and categories.
  • Share design knowledge, give thoughtful feedback and support the development of other designers and project teams without losing ownership of your own work.
  • Use AI and emerging creative technologies responsibly to accelerate exploration, improve storytelling and increase efficiency while retaining human judgement and craft.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities across a global team, remaining organised, calm and detail-focused while working to tight pitch, client and submission deadlines.
  • Present and explain creative thinking confidently, internally and externally, using design rationale to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 6+ years' experience in presentation design, graphic design, brand design or creative communications.
  • A strong portfolio showing high-quality commercial presentations, pitch design, editorial storytelling, brand systems, data-led communications and/or partnership marketing work.
  • Experience turning business or marketing strategy into visual narratives that are clear, engaging and designed to support a commercial outcome.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Canva, alongside strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • Strong typography, layout, visual hierarchy, image curation and information-design skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working with brand guidelines, rights-holder and partner IP, logo lock-ups, image permissions and design systems across multiple deliverables.
  • Comfortable designing for presentations and digital formats.
  • Experience using AI or emerging creative tools as part of a thoughtful, quality-led design process.
  • A confident communicator who can interpret a brief, ask the right questions, articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with workflow and project management tools, such as Asana, and an understanding of structured task-tracking processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide other creatives, build effective relationships across the business, and develop towards future people-management responsibilities.
  • A designer first: creatively ambitious, commercially aware and motivated by making complex ideas simple, compelling and memorable, and a natural visual storyteller who understands how composition, typography, imagery, data and motion work together to create a persuasive partnership narrative.
  • Exceptional craft and a sharp eye for detail, without losing sight of the audience, the brief or the commercial objective.
  • Confident developing a point of view, presenting work and constructively challenging feedback when it compromises clarity, consistency or quality.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience within sport, entertainment, agency, sponsorship, media or commercial marketing environments.
  • Exposure to international or cross-regional teams.
  • Motion, video, Figma or interactive-design experience.
Workplace
  • The role is based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate.
  • Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
  • May be required to attend and travel to other IMG buildings, meetings, industry events or on-site productions as necessary.
  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule, including when working to a pitch or proposal deadline.
