Job description

Nackiyé is an Istanbul-based independent fashion brand, with modern womenswear created under a Mediterranean influence. Inspiration is taken from Istanbul’s layered history and the laid‑back rhythm of the Mediterranean.

Designed with a strong focus on quality, the brand is positioned within the high-end segment, where attention to detail, refined construction, and timelessness are valued over trend. Every piece is carefully developed through collaboration with experienced makers, using well-sourced materials and thoughtful construction. Fashion is believed to be something personal, lasting, and connected to a sense of place. The team is kept small, creative, and hands‑on. As international growth continues, the London team is being expanded, and new opportunities are being created for collaboration, creativity, and shared ownership in how the brand evolves.

The Role

As a Designer at Nackiyé, you’ll work closely with our founders and design team to develop seasonal collections and special projects. From concept research to final sample, you’ll be involved in the full creative process, helping shape garments that speak to our signature aesthetic.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate daily with third parties, including suppliers and production teams, to ensure alignment on designs and timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and production teams, exploring new or exciting product development.
  • Maintain a strong commercial awareness of current fashion trends to inform design direction and ensure product relevance.
  • Coach and guide less experienced designers within the team, sharing knowledge and encouraging professional growth.
  • Lead fabric and trim sourcing in collaboration with suppliers, ensuring materials meet both creative and quality standards.
  • Oversee the creation and refinement of tech packs, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and aligned with production capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and visual teams to ensure the collection’s story is consistently communicated across campaigns, lookbooks, and showrooms.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in silhouette, fabrication, or process that elevate the collection and differentiate the brand in a competitive market.
  • Drive consistency and excellence across the full design calendar, proactively managing milestones, reviews, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to long‑term design strategy, aligning seasonal development with the brand’s growth plans and international positioning.
  • Ensure sustainability principles are considered in design choices, material sourcing, and product development workflows.
Requirements
  • 10+ years experience in fashion design, including cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Previous experience in a contemporary or luxury fashion environment is a plus.
  • Strong self‑management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a remote or multi‑location team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for seasonal milestones.
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fit, and textiles.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and hands‑on mindset.
  • Fluency in English (other languages welcome, but not required).

Please note that the company’s registered office is located in London. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Istanbul for short stays.
