We are seeking a motivated and creative Senior Mechanical/Design Engineer to join a vibrant, award-winning team at the forefront of sustainable shipping. This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to innovative wind-assisted propulsion technology, delivering designs that are both elegant and production-ready.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the mechanical and structural design of cutting-edge subsystems from concept through detailed manufacturing release.
  • Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and supporting calculations with strong analytical judgment and FEA application.
  • Drive design validation, documentation, and integration across performance, systems, and manufacturing teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers, review work, and communicate technical outcomes clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion safe, sustainable, and high-quality engineering standards throughout all projects.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Qualified in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine Engineering with minimum 3 years’ experience in complex mechanical or design engineering.
  • Proven success delivering designs from concept to production in marine, offshore, or related heavy machinery environments.
  • Skilled in Design for Manufacture, steel structures, and drawing creation within a design/manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent) and comfortable with structural analysis.
  • Focused, determined, and inspired to solve complex engineering challenges with creativity and practical thinking.
