Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior leader to shape UK water and wastewater programmes, translating strategy into safe, buildable infrastructure. You will unite engineering disciplines, construction teams and clients around clear design decisions while identifying risks early and ensuring value across the project lifecycle.

Your role requires independent leadership across complex programs, with a focus on collaboration, client relationships and delivering commercially sound outcomes for communities.

Qualifications

• Leadership in design and project management of large infrastructure programmes
• Expertise in multidisciplinary engineering and construction integration
• Experience with NEC3/4 contracts and change control
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and processes
• Strong communication skills to explain complex issues to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to autonomously manage a wide range of complex projects with authority
• Track record of fostering a culture focused on success

Responsibilities

• Shape how UK water and wastewater programmes move from strategy to safe, buildable infrastructure
• Lead design decisions by coordinating engineering disciplines, construction teams and client stakeholders
• Identify risk early, improve buildability and ensure whole‑life value in the design process
• Build trusted client relationships and act as a senior point of contact to shape outcomes and opportunities
• Influence design management across the wider practice to improve standardisation and multidisciplinary delivery
