A leading building contractor in the Midlands is seeking a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager to oversee design-related functions across diverse projects. This role involves managing consultants, ensuring quality designs, and facilitating the transition from preconstruction to delivery stages. Ideal candidates will possess a robust background in the building sector and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous employment as a Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager or Design Manager.
• Experience in building sector projects including Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential.
• Previous Main Contractor employment.

Responsibilities

• Management of design related issues across multiple sectors.
• Appointment and management of consultants, monitoring detailed design production.
• Identifying design solutions and risks to support business objectives.

Skills

Knowledge of Building Sector

High level of communication skills

Education

Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc)
