- Work with project teams and clients to develop concept designs and manage their detailed development through to completion.
- Support digital engineering teams in producing models and drawings that effectively communicate design intent.
- Identify, mitigate, and communicate construction risks through design, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Contribute to pre‑construction activities by developing concept and tender designs.
- Manage design assurance, reviews, and external spend, including assessing the impact of design changes.
- Improve design processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with wider project teams to understand timeframes, risks, and constraints.
- Promote sustainable, efficient, and innovative design solutions that support project and client objectives.
About You
- Proven experience in a similar role within a respected consultancy or contractor design team (or ready to step into a senior position).
- Strong planning and organisational skills, including experience managing design programmes and reviews.
- A sound understanding of construction methods and structural behaviour.
- Knowledge of current CDM regulations and relevant design codes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A structured and proactive approach, with the confidence to lead others and drive results.
- A commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
