What You Will Do:

• Lead the design and development of new products from concept through to production, ensuring high-quality solutions.
• Drive rapid prototyping and iterative design cycles to accelerate time-to-market for innovative products.
• Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments to maintain high design standards and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to deliver seamless project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise to support their development.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and directives, including CE/UKCA, ATEX, and DSEAR, while championing continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience in design engineering or new product development roles, with a minimum of five years of relevant expertise.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD, including large assemblies, configurations, and design automation tools.
• Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, CNC forming, welding, and assembly.
• A solid understanding of engineering systems compliance standards.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver on time and within budget.
