Job summary

ECM Selection (Holdings) Limited is seeking engineers to take ideas from prototype to production for defense projects. You will collaborate with a small, motivated team using CAD and a well-stocked workshop to develop innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate has a background in engineering and proficiency with CAD software. You will be involved in designing durable products for battlefield deployment and have significant impacts on product development.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering and experience in similar positions, not necessarily in defence.
• Highly proficient with CAD software.
• Comfortable working in a workshop using additive manufacturing and standard machining tools.
• Possibly specialise in either mechanical or electronics engineering, but comfortable helping with either.
• British or British dual national, resident in the UK for the past 5 years.

From prototype to production for a range of defence projects

This small team of highly accomplished engineers are working at the cutting‑edge of the defence industry, developing a whole new approach to defence systems based on adaptability. Their systems learn in response to emerging threats, able to change without needing to be returned to base or re‑programmed. They are currently developing anti‑drone and electronic warfare devices and believe their unique design philosophy is applicable to a great many areas.

Responsibilities

• Take ideas from prototype to production
• Work hands‑on with colleagues in mechanical, electronics and software engineering
• Use CAD and the on‑site workshop to quickly understand problems and iteratively develop solutions
• Design products that are durable, easy to manufacture and suited to battlefield deployment
