Senior Deputy Room Manager

Location: South Woodford, London.
Hours: 36 hours (4 days) or 45 hours (5 days) per week.
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum + performance-related bonus.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: Up to £31,000.00 per annum (depending on experience) + performance-related bonus
  • Working Hours: 36 hours (8am 6pm over 4 days) or 45 hours (8am 6pm over 5 days)
  • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days including bank holidays + 3 days Christmas closure + 1 birthday day after probation

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Room Manager and Nursery Leadership Team in delivering high-quality childcare and education
  • Ensure the nursery s curriculum, vision, and values are implemented consistently across the room
  • Promote children s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Plan, observe, and assess children s development to support their individual learning journeys
  • Mentor and guide practitioners, encouraging a reflective and collaborative team culture
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a Senior or Deputy Room Manager role within a nursery or childcare setting
  • Excellent understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted standards, and best childcare practice
