Senior Delivery Manager - Appvia

Location: London, UK (Hybrid : 2 days in office per week)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £60,000-£80,000 + 10% Bonus + 10% Shares + Benefits

We’re looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join the team and help lead the delivery of multiple projects within private and public sector clients.

About The Role

This role is initially focused on a new customer engagement working hard to deliver an Azure cloud migration and set up platform engineering best practices. As a Senior Delivery Manager, you take a lead role and will be a key decision maker, liaising with senior internal and third‑party stakeholders who are involved in cutting‑edge Cloud, Data and AI solutions.>

You will have a strong background and extensive experience delivering cloud platforms and migrations. You will enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment and use your expertise to direct, advise and support your team to deliver high‑quality services, engaging with wider teams and stakeholders to manage opportunities, risks and escalations, ensuring the quality of the service being delivered meets business needs.

Requirements – About you

You’ll be passionate about new technology and automation, and experienced in leading an engineering team in Agile and DevOps best practices. You’ll also be able to discuss your:

  • Knowledge of continuous integration, deployment practices and platform engineering principles
  • Ability to collaborate with people at all levels of technical ability
  • Understanding of industry best practices
  • Project Management experience
  • Fantastic people skills, including the ability to motivate a team towards a common goal
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including stand‑ups, backlog refinement, planning and retrospectives
  • Ensure the DevOps team is self‑organising, engaged, motivated and part of the Agile delivery process
  • Engage with technical architects, tech leads and peripheral delivery teams to facilitate solution definitions for our clients
  • Ensure the detailed capture of technical work items on the product backlog and that they are estimated with agreed acceptance criteria
  • Work with internal and client leads to prioritise backlog and communicate progress of these items as applicable
  • Ensure appropriate technical documentation is created and shared with relevant people
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between the engineering team and client teams, such as scheduling and managing show‑and‑tells
  • Engage with project and GTM teams on the progress of deliverables and communicate cloud platform dependencies to our clients as necessary
  • Produce and distribute regular updates on delivery, impediments and issues
Qualifications

Professional certification in project management and relevant cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable, such as:

  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP)
  • AgilePM® Practitioner (APMG International)
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) Agilist / Practitioner
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) – Scrum.org
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Scrum Alliance
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • AWS Certified: Solutions Architect Associate
