Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation is recruiting a Senior Business Analyst subcontractor for FCAS/GCAP programmes on a 2-year contract. The role requires defence/aerospace experience and the ability to lead stakeholder workshops across international teams.

The position is hybrid/remote with 2 days onsite and the rest from home, located in the UK with options across Stevenage, Bolton or Bristol. IR35Inside via Umbrella; rate is £90 per hour and 37-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Analysis, Change and Transformation.
• Experience in Defence or Aerospace environments.
• Experience shaping complex multi-national programmes with international colleagues.
• Ability to translate strategy into clear activities and deliverables in ambiguous settings.
• Experience developing interoperability roadmaps between stakeholders.
• Experience in agile environments using Agile methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Stakeholder empathy and ability to influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, document and validate business needs across internal and external stakeholders in programme working groups as required.
• Lead stakeholder workshops and support in requirement reviews to resolve conflicts and secure sign-off of artefacts into the customer; establish traceability and governance across a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Produce Operating Models in conjunction with internal stakeholders identifying business and operational changes.
• Support FCAS AI Defence Strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement into the ways of working across FCAS and GCAP personnel on the programme.
• Experience in RACI and DACi delegation to stakeholders through specification document creation.
• Produce user stories, functional and non-functional requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Chair alignment sessions between operational priorities and system capabilities.
• Business Process & Operational Analysis.
• Map current 'As-is' and future 'To-be' processes, identifying gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support in defining operational concepts and usage scenarios for Digital working environments.
• Solution Assessment and Delivery Support.
• Support solution design by reviewing system behaviours, interfaces and data flows for feasibility.
• Work with engineers and architects to ensure requirements are implementable and testable.
• Create and maintain traceability from FCAS Objectives - Capabilities - requirements - design/test artefacts.
• Compliance, Risk and Assurance.
• Support the PMO community in capturing risk and mitigations plans across the FCAS and GCAP programmes.
