Job summary

MPB is hiring a Senior Decision Scientist to turn data into decisions and data-powered product features. You will work full-time in Brighton, part of the Data & Analytics function, collaborating with Product, Engineers and Designers.

You’ll define metrics, build dashboards, run experiments, and deliver AI-enabled insights that drive customer outcomes. A strong data prod mindset and storytelling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior data professional focused on turning data into decisions and product outcomes.
• Strong SQL and Python or R for modelling and lightweight prototyping.
• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or product-led tech.
• Comfort with cloud data stacks and dashboards.
• Solid grasp of statistics and experimental design.
• Applied AI / LLM tooling experience.
• Excellent storytelling to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Be the data voice in your squad and bring data into planning and decisions.
• Analyze customer journeys to identify friction, retention drivers and opportunities.
• Connect squad work to P&L outcomes including conversion and margin.
• Define success metrics with your PM and build dashboards.
• Create fast POC demos showing data and AI improvements.
• Develop production-ready data-driven features customers interact with.
• Lead A/B tests and post-test analysis for confident decisions.
• Own metrics and the semantic layer for your domain.
• Apply AI as a working tool to speed up analysis and prototyping.
• Tell stories with data to influence wider stakeholders.
• Share learnings via Communities of Practice to raise data fluency.
