Job summary

Astutes Power Team is recruiting a Senior DCS Cybersecurity Engineer to support Biomass and Energy from Waste power stations across the United Kingdom. The role focuses on OT systems, cyber risk management, and secure plant operations.

You will lead risk assessments, guide patch and incident response, and work with plant operations, IT and external suppliers to maintain security and reliability in DCS/OT environments.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong background in DCS, automation or OT engineering.
• Fluent in English with clear communication of technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain OT cybersecurity risk information and risk registers.
• Carry out cybersecurity risk assessments and track mitigation actions.
• Act as technical authority for DCS/OT configurations and incident recovery.
• Coordinate patching, vulnerability remediation and system updates.
• Support incident response with risk assessment and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with plant operations, IT/security teams and suppliers.
• Report cybersecurity risk and compliance status to management.
• Promote consistent cybersecurity practices across plant environments.
