Job description

A Senior Day Coach at SuperCare provides experience, guidance, and reassurance in the middle of a busy day. You'll be alongside children who are energetic, sometimes aggressive, and always in need of constant engagement. You'll be hands‑on, but you'll also be a steady influence for newer staff – showing them how to respond to challenging behaviours, how to use social stories, and how to keep a bubbly, warm atmosphere even when the day feels tough. You won't lead the shift, but you'll be the experienced anchor that helps the team stay steady and effective.

What You'll Do
  • Support children with hygiene, education, routines, and active play.
  • Respond to behaviours with calm, consistent strategies.
  • Model positive practice for less experienced staff.
  • Encourage children's independence through prompting, teaching, and play.
  • Help the team stay resilient by being a reliable, supportive presence.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 2 years' experience in SEN, residential, or learning disability support.
  • Level 3 Diploma (or working towards it).
  • Skilled in behaviour support and confident with aggression.
  • Fun, energetic, and resilient – someone who can make the day engaging for children and supportive for staff.

  • Salary 20% above sector average
  • Rota: 07:30‑22:30, 1 day on / 2 days off
  • 36 days of training per year, including PBS and autism communication tools
  • Fully funded Level 3 and support for Level 5 Diploma
  • Private healthcare & 24/7 GP access
  • Gym stipend & wellbeing support
