Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a senior Data Warehouse Manager to lead the Data & Analytics team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the local data warehouse, enhancing data acquisition, and delivering high quality information to support NHS Wales reports and strategic plans.

You will work with senior stakeholders to align local data architecture with the National Data Resource, ensuring data integrity, governance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL query writing ability.
• Integration Services package creation.
• Data warehouse development cycle knowledge: change control, documentation, upgrades, archiving; ITIL qualified or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of NHS data sets.
• Big Data analytics technologies and scalable ML approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Engineering function, with recruitment, staff appraisals and development.
• Oversee maintenance, governance and security of the local data warehouse aligned with NHS Wales standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for data warehouse and acquisition to support national data initiatives.
