The Position
The Opportunity

Are you passionate about turning data into a trusted, strategic asset that accelerates drug development and transforms healthcare? In the Master and Operational Data Team within Data Governance and Operations (DGO), we develop and implement data strategies that unlock the value of clinical, operational, and real-world data. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our data is reliable, accessible, and compliant across the product development lifecycle.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive Data Excellence: Support the design, implementation, and management of Master Data, Reference Data, metadata standards, and conceptual data models aligned with business processes.
  • Enable FAIR Principles: Execute data cataloging, lineage tracking, and data classification to ensure clinical and operational data assets are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.
  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams across all organisational levels - from operational teams to senior executives - to improve the visibility, quality, and usability of key data assets.
  • Maintain Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to global data privacy and security regulations (such as HIPAA and GDPR) and promote robust data governance practices.
  • Guide & Champion Stewardship: Serve as a functional resource and mentor for colleagues, driving a culture of continuous improvement and strong data stewardship.
Who You Are

You are an insightful and articulate communicator who excels at bridging complex technical concepts with business context. You bring strong strategic agility, emotional maturity, and the confidence to build trust and navigate conversations effortlessly with both senior leaders and operational teams.

To be successful in this role, you bring:
  • Qualification: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Domain Experience: Solid experience in data management, metadata curation, or Master Data in a regulated or Life Sciences environment.
  • Technical & Governance Expertise: Practical experience with tools for data lineage, cataloging, and quality, as well as a strong understanding of Conceptual Data Models, Master Data Management (MDM), and FAIR data principles.
  • Stakeholder & Strategic Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to influence and collaborate across levels, and a thoughtful, problem-solving mindset.
