Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer - Data in Nottingham on a hybrid basis. You will help build and modernise our cloud-based data ecosystem, delivering API services and data products with Java, Python and React/TypeScript.

You’ll lead, design architectures, and push engineering excellence across teams. You’ll work on real‑world data problems, enabling real-time capture, accuracy, and analytics within cloud data stores and ML workloads.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering outcomes at pace.
• Strong programming skills with Java and Python; experience with OO design.
• Experience creating architectural designs that meet business needs.
