Role overview

We seek an experienced Data Scientist eager to innovate within the Insurance Industry. The Senior Data Scientist will develop advanced data assets and predictive models to support Hastings' pricing strategies. You'll work within a team that champions alternative risk analysis and market pricing approaches, leveraging new tech stack capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain analytical tools for risk portfolio management.
• Develop models to predict claims outcomes, fraud, and other KPIs.
• Engineer new rating factors for deployment into rating algorithms.
• Identify, analyze, and monetize new data sources.

Essential skills/experience

• Proven track record of delivering ML projects from EDA to deployment and evaluation.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to define problems and develop solutions.
• Interest in emerging ML techniques and their business applications.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Azure ML, Git, Azure Cloud Services.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Actuaries, and Pricing Analysts.
