Job summary

Clarity Innovations is seeking a Data Scientist to support Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) at RAF Mildenhall, UK. The role involves deriving insights from complex data, guiding data initiatives, and enabling digital transformation to boost mission readiness.

Requirements include a STEM degree, 1 year DS experience, and programming in Python/R/Java/C++. Security clearance (Secret) or higher is required, with TS eligibility preferred. This position is on site in the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on Data Science experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field is required.
• Proficient with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.)
• Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematics and statistics.
• Coordinate research and analytic activities across data points.
• Experiment with data and provide data-driven solutions to challenges.
• Coordinate with Data Engineers to build data environments.
• Apply statistics and algorithms to discover problems and opportunities.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive modeling, NLP, and ML techniques.
• Design automated data manipulation and integration processes.
• Use Spark and Hadoop for large-scale processing and visualize with Tableau/Power BI/R Shiny.
• Program in R, Python and related libraries.
• Perform data engineering and modeling on cloud platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Cloudera.
• Communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
