Job summary

Checkout.com is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to lead multi-objective optimisation and robust ML architectures. You will optimise payment flows through data and ML services, and shape the decisioning systems with senior peers.

You’ll mentor juniors, collaborate with product stakeholders, and architect scalable modelling pipelines using Spark, Dask, and cloud tools. Strong Python production skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and maintaining ML models for large-scale problems.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and modelling approaches.
• Experience explaining model decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and architecture for multi-objective optimisation and scalable models.
• Develop loss/evaluation frameworks reflecting business needs.
• Collaborate with product teams to align tech with business goals.
• Implement data transformations with distributed computing; ensure tests.
